The third location of Peking duck and dim sum concept Duck N Bao is now open in Rice Village, according to a May 28 news release from the restaurant.

The details

The 2,600-square-foot restaurant has a dining room and patio and is influenced by modern Chinese design. It seats 100 guests inside and an additional 22 on the patio.

The opening comes a year after husband and wife team Grace and Leo Xia debuted Hongdae 33, an all-you-can-eat Korean barbecue spot, in Houston's Asiatown.

Duck N Bao’s Rice Village location serves lunch and dinner daily. Street and garage parking are available in Rice Village.

The menu

The Xia's both draw from their own culinary backgrounds in creating the Duck N Bao menu, according to the release. Popular items include the crispy-skinned, Peking-style lacquered duck and soup dumplings, a range of dim sum, and Sichuan dishes prepared from scratch.

New menu items and upgrades have been added for the newest restaurant, including:

Triple-cooked short ribs
Duck fried rice
Stir fried salt-and-pepper or XO sauce lobster tails
Black truffle soup dumplings
Octopus salad tossed with green pepper sauce
Sichuan-style, rice-battered beef shank

In addition, Grace Xia developed a cocktail menu for Duck N Bao's bar program. Many of their signature cocktails showcase the Chinese spirit baijiu.
