Spy larger-than-life creatures of the sea, land and sky at the free Washed Ashore: Art to Save the Sea exhibit, now on display at key locations in Galveston through Sunday, March 31, 2024.

Built completely from plastic debris that has washed up on American beaches, Washed Ashore features five huge, can’t-help-but-notice animal sculptures, including the 8-foot tall Brody the Adélie Penguin and Rosa the Bald Eagle with an 17-foot wingspan.

Designed to demonstrate the scale of plastic pollution in our oceans and waterways, the family-friendly sculptures can be found and explored for free at popular Galveston destinations.

This is the second set of Washed Ashore sculptures to be on temporary display on the island. Learn more.
