Harris County Public Health will be hosting a free mobile health services initiative called Wellness on Wheels, which aims to increase access to services among communities officials deem a priority.

What residents should know

Details for the first event were announced by HCPH in a news release.

Location: Deputy Darren Almendarez Community Center
Address: 10918 Bentley St., Houston
Time: 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

Attendees will have access to the following free services:

Breast and cervical cancer screenings
Vaccinations
Dental screenings, including fluoride applications for children
HIV and sexually transmitted infection testing
Lead poisoning testing
Health service referrals

Pet owners will also be able to utilize the following services:

Vaccinations
Microchipping with a two-pet limit per household
Low-cost adoptions

Future dates in other precincts were also announced.

Harris County Precinct 1: June 8
Harris County Precinct 3: Aug. 3
Harris County Precinct 4: Dec. 7

The Common Market: a Houston nonprofit that distributes family-owned farm products to organizations across the region, according to its website
