Take in the thrills and chills of social runs, local markets, trick-or-treating and more across three days at the 4th Annual Hike, Bike & Fright Fest at M-K-T from Wednesday, October 25 to Saturday, October 28, 2023.

M-K-T, the sprawling Heights hub for dining, shopping and community fun is expanding its annual Hike, Bike & Fright Fest to three days leading into Halloween weekend.

Check out the programs on the way, and get to planning your costumes and Halloween plans with M-K-T:

  • Spooky Walk | Wednesday, October 25 | FREE – This social walk and run kicks off the fest along the Heights Hike & Bike Trail, hosted by local running groups. After you put in the work, toast to fall cocktail specials that can be found at Highline Park. 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
  • The Addams Family Movie Night & Shop Local Market | Thursday, October 26 | FREE – Soak up some spooky vibes with free Karbach brews and drink specials at trailside patio bars, plus a Battle of the Wednesdays Costume Contest, a step-by-step lesson in the viral Wednesday Addams dance trend, DJ tunes, and a screening of the 1991 classic, The Addams Family. 5pm to 9pm.
  • Trick-or-Treat Trail | Saturday, October 28 | FREE – Kiddos in their ghoulishly good costumes are welcome to hit the trail and fill up on candy at stops throughout M-K-T. AndyRoo will be on-site to provide some spirited tunes, and Equal Parts Brewing will be offering up complimentary brews for the adults. Noon to 6pm.
  • HallowGreen Houston Plant Market | Saturday, October 28 | No Cover – Held in the same afternoon as the Trick-or-Treat Trail, this market of more than 50 plant vendors lets you shop rare and beginner-friendly plants alongside home goods, fashion, pottery, crafts and more. Noon to 6pm.
