‘Into the Woods’
Owen Theatre is presenting “Into the Woods” about the invasion of multiple fairytale characters, including Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella and the Baker.
The Houston Grand Opera gives two performances of the work by Giocomo Puccini, directed by Michael Grandage. The show will be sung in Italian with a projection of English subtitles.

This educational carnivorous plant event will feature nonprofit groups and presentations throughout the day as well as judging with ribbons and prizes.
Family-owned swim school Houston Swim Club will host this first annual water safety and drowning prevention event at Pearland Town Center ahead of summer. It will feature water safety demonstrations, CPR and rescue lessons as well as music, games, arts and crafts, and giveaways.
The Kohrville Community Association will host an outdoor festival to fundraise for a community center planned for 16817 Hufsmith-Kohrville Road, Houston. The event will feature food trucks; water activities for children; a car, truck and motorcycle show; raffles; face painting; games and a DJ. All proceeds will benefit the Kohrville Community Center. Windwood Presbyterian Church, 10555 Spring Cypress Road, Houston
This 10th annual food festival will feature all-you-can-eat crawfish, plus other food and drink vendors, live zydeco music, carnival rides for kids, and local merchandise vendors. It’s hosted by a Texas nonprofit that works with local charities that benefit veterans, children and people with disabilities. This year, they will donate proceeds to organizations such as Camp Hope, Texas Special Olympics and local education foundations.
Sugar Land Rotary Club presents this family-friendly fundraising event at Constellation Field that features a Food Truck Alley, live music, vendors, and live and silent auctions. Parking is free, and VIP tickets come with seating, a catered shrimp meal and full event access.
The Sacred Heart Catholic Church is holding a spring festival with famous Hispanic and Filipino street food, live music performances, kids games, arts and crafts booths, refreshments, and raffle prizes.
